I am Senior Lecturer in Classical Studies at the University of Lincoln, and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society.
I specialise in Ancient Historiography, with a particular interest in Fragmentary Historians, the so-called Historians of Alexander, and Polybius.
I have written about Herodotus, Glaukos of Rhegion, Alexander the Great, and Polybius.

My research investigates how the ancient world produced, preserved, and contested historical knowledge. I am particularly interested in the practices through which historians established truth, authority, and credibility, and in the voices and texts that have remained at the margins of surviving historical traditions. My work brings together the study of historiographical method, political and cultural history, and the recovery of neglected sources. Current research focuses on Polybius’ conception of historical truth and the ethical responsibilities of the historian, alongside projects on the historiography of Alexander the Great and the reconstruction of fragmentary Greek historical traditions.
